In 1955 after travelling fever hit Germany, Elfriede and Hugo Niesmann decided to join the caravan and motorhome revolution.
In the next two decades the company sees constant growth allowing them to purchase property and build their headquarters with a workshop and accessories shop on-site. In 1975 Hugo recognised that the American motorhomes were more developed and superior to European motorhomes. Hugo struck a deal with American producer Fleetwood to exclusively import and sell their products in Europe. Hugo sold the American motorhomes in partnership with his son Carl-Heinz and his Son in law Rainer Bischoff.
Just 6 years after the Fleetwood deal started, Rainer Bischoff & Carl-Heinz Niesmann hatched a bold plan to produce and sell high quality motorhomes. They founded the company Niesmann+Bischoff GmbH and produced nothing but the best motorhomes for their demanding clientele.
The 1990’s – The birth of the Flair!! After years of deciding what the market required Niesmann & Bischoff announced the Flair motorhome. With new features and high quality design it began to liven up the motorhome market.
1996 arrived and Niesmann & Bischoff became part of the largely growing Erwin Hymer Group proving that the models they produced where wanted throughout Europe.
In 1998, the Arto series was born and with the years of experience the ‘Polch lily’ became the emblem of high quality, luxury and build design. The Niesmann & Bischoff logo is still on all vehicles up to the present day.
Even though the original company has been bought out by Fleetwood who then sold it to the Erwin Hymer monster, the motorhomes have kept a lot of the original ideologies and design feel from Niesmann and Bischoff meaning it's not just a brand.
Here is a walkaround of a Niesmann & Bischoff Arto 88LE. Alongside the detailed description and photos, most of our vehicle detail pages have a walkaround video. This video will give you a much more detailed insight into the actual motorhome we have for sale.
