This Motorhome's Story
1990 G Reg Kawasaki AR50 C7 model, only 2200 genuine miles.
This has just been completed with a full nut and bolt rebuild restoration.
The engine has been professionally fully rebuilt to 93cc by Bdk Race engineering with a six speed box upgrade also if you see all the listings below this cost me over £1800 just for the engine work alone.
Back in the day these bikes when standard were only 7 horsepower, and were restricted to a whopping 30 mph!
This bike is now around 14 HP and will easily cruise at 50-55mph and has a maximum speed of almost 70mph! I have all the bills to prove plus the dyno readings etc. I have owned the bike since 2011 it has the original bill of sale plus the original manuals and service books also it has only 2 former keepers. it has not even been run in since the rebuild and has done approximately 1 to 2 miles test ride and even still has the stickers on the new tires.

Loads of original new old stock (NOS) Kawasaki parts used that luckily I bought many years ago which are no longer available.
The bike stands me at well over £4000 that is without my time or labour, and all the hassle of sorting everything out and many hours spent working on the bike.
For example I bought the bike in 2011 for £1200 which would be over £2k now with that mileage just as a standard bike.

BDK Race Engineering Full Engine Strip Tune & Rebuild, replacing all bearings and seals.
93cc Big Bore cylinder and head
Upgrading to 6 speed gearbox.
Upgrade and fit new 5 plate heavy duty clutch and machine clutch basket.
21mm Delorto carb and manifold.
KX 60 Reed Block and machined cylinder head to suit.
Custom BDK Aluminium Front and rear sprockets.
Dyno tune set up.

Also numerous bolts, clips, springs all replaced in stainless steel, some of these like the suspension top bolts and wheel spindles, suspension bushes and bolts I had these reproduced at great expense by a local engineering company identical to genuine Kawasaki specification but in stainless steel so these would not rust and to future proof and preserve the bikes condition.
Also I have all the original Kawasaki drab olive standard bolts, screws, cylinder head carb etc so it has all the original genuine parts to go with it, including the original standard exhaust!
There are many many man hours actually working on the bike and as many running about sourcing and collecting the parts, and taking them to the blasters, painters tuner etc which people do not take into account. Also to take into consideration is I have spent countless hours over the past few years scouring the net and trying to source the genuine bits needed which are no longer made for these bikes, the parts required and needed to rebuild one of these bikes properly seem to have dried up disappeared and rarely become available anymore.
Total build cost to this standard with the bike rebuild and parts alone is £4282 with no labour.
